7mm I have number of these and its possible that the measurements differ slightly from each other. It his angled. This crystal might be coated on the surface but, I cant tell just by looking at it.

A customer purchased one of these and had it asserted for a ring. Measurements it is a synthetic crystal made from yttrium aluminum garnet. This crystal was lab created by Northrop Grumman space technology. They said it turned out great and it changes color in the light.
