Details:

Damaged fibers will not be returnable. Though this fiber is 500um wide, the part only 100UM. Losch out-sourced many of its items to japan for manufacturing. There is no marking for wave length and the Losch parts do not cross reference as far I know with lion exception to LD-80.

Though it is made in japan with Japanese part However light transmits just as well through all of the 500um width . The Japanese parts are: d76221 and st100e I would expect these to be ar coated for 800-1000nm. Copper ferrule with free standing fiber surrounded by airspace provides up to 8 times the wattage capacity of standard SAM cables 3mm.

I am calling this a model LD-80 as it appears identical in design. This one comes with the stainless end caps in pic though some pics show plastic ones. Leoni is now doing the same with china. Either caps fit fine.

You can see a ring of cladding. Around the 100UM section. This is new to me and I suspect the outer part of fiber more for support as a 1000um free standing would be extremely fragile difficult clean. You can test with your laser at low power and measure the loss. Lightly used LD-80 fiber optic cable from Losch now lion out of Coherent lot.

If it is not in accepted parameters, likely for your wave length .
