This is a driver power supply module for a Litton or Honeywell ring laser gyroscope hene tubes. If you do this, heat sink well my friend. The power supply is potted fully in silicone rubber and has high quality PDF wires as you would expect of something extremely mission critical like this. Unlike most modern hene power supplies, this one works well as a capacitor charger too, can charge em' up to over 5kv with the vim in action, or you can depot the HIV inverter section and bridge rectify it to use as a scary fast capacitor charger good for the 1kv range.

This runs my Toshiba hene tubes nicely. The module has an internal ballast resistor, but you should add more resistance or lower the drive voltage if using with very short tubes. The power requirement is anything from 6 to 15v depending on the size of the tube you want to drive, powers the mg and the Toshiba tubes i'm selling just fine.

The base should be mounted to a good heat sink to ensure reliable operation. By fast, I mean it will charge a 500uf 1kv bank in 3 seconds or so. This item is pretty hard to find, I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

They don't build them like this anymore.
