These units were manufactured by Hamamatsu phonics and are of very high quality. The image intensifier with matching high voltage power supply was pulled from a high energy x ray, gamma ray imaging system with under 320 operating hours on it. Shutter control on the PCB board, there is a couple of relays that are used to switch the photo cathode bias between an off 5v and on 180v state.

The input and output active areas are both 25mm diameter. The output phosphor material is 43 and is also fiber optic face plate coupled.

High voltage s this set of devices is not a toy and should only be operated by experts. The image intensifier input was configured with a low noise bi alkali photo cathode and fiber optic face plate. Obviously, one can't use this approach for high speed gating, that would require a different gating electronic design.

What is included some parts shown in the pictures such as the lenses, USB camera, and optical mounts are not included in this sale. The unit was tested for basic functionality as described in the pictures and shown in the video below. This unit was originally used with a fiber optic taper on the input.
